Adrian Sky

I recently met a fellow by the name of Adrian Sky from San Francisco.  He’s somewhat of a renaissance man and was looking to add some photos to his modeling portfolio.  I had been wanting shoot some new work outside of the studio and decided he would be perfect.  We met up about an hour before sunset at the old Navy base on Treasure Island.  Treasure Island is a cool place to shoot because there typically aren’t too many people around harassing you and getting in the way.  Here’s a few of the best shots from our shoot:

Thanks to Adrian Sky for being an awesome model to work with.  Check him out:

Shooting in Downtown San Jose

I was contacted by a guy I shot a couple months ago and he asked if I’d be interested in doing a test shoot with a friend of his that was looking to have some photos done for self promo materials.  We decided to shoot in San Jose because you get the feel of a big city, without all the traffic.  We had originally wanted to shoot in a plaza in the middle of the city but when we showed up we realized that the whole area had been decorated as a Christmas village, and that wasn’t exactly the look we were going for.  So we ended up finding a spot on the sidewalk next to the SJ Museum of Art and made the best of it.

Shooting a portrait of my Dad

So while I was in So Cal visiting family last week, I convinced my Dad to let my shoot a quick portrait of him before he left for work. He was nice enough to entertain me for a few frames and we got a pretty cool shot. I also stepped back and took a behind the scenes photo to show how we turned my sisters room into a make-shift studio. Enjoy!

Thanks to my Dad for being so patient, and my mom for being an awesome assistant.

Here’s a shot of the “studio” we shot in,  aka my little sisters room.

Lance Canales and the Flood

This past weekend, I had the chance to shoot one of my favorite current musicians.  I talked the band into letting me shoot a few photos of them when they came to the Bay Area for a show.  I found a really cool old covered bridge in Felton, CA that worked well for a shooting location.

I love shooting in studio

I had a chance to shoot a guy I met named Tony.  Tony had some modeling experience and was up for the task of sitting for me.  We messed around with a few different wardrobe changes and came out with some good stuff.
